when my wife could not make it to the agency she would call them, they would translate verbal over the phone and she would tell them what to write back
sometimes if i sent long email with pictures, she would go to agency which was a 15 minute bus ride.
now, though, she speaks very good english and we use web cam every evening so she does not need agency even though her fee to agency covers all tranlations until she leaves china

what i understand is ...
the lady gets a hard copy of your english letter, the translation is verbal. your lady tells them what to write back. they have access to their accounts (like what we have) and there they can see the pictures. they could access it through their own computer (work/home) or at the agency.

bro.....i am no expert.......i wrote a very long and romantic emf to a lady but her reply was only a few lines........i suspect the translator just tells her briefly on the phone what she understands and omits the rest which is too complex......i dont mind paying good money for good translation but if the lady only gets a few lines translated after i spent 3 hours composing long romantic poems to her, and sends me very short replies, then i am not satisfied......i tried writing to her home address but it takes years to reach her......do share with me if other methods are better......thanks bro !!

To Teo /Singapore. I have had the same experience as you. Especially with agencies in Beijing.Long letters are answered by short emails sometimes within half an hour. Such as ." Thank you for sharing so much information with me. Have a nice weekend." One comes under the impression that the women never bother to read or have read, or have received the full context of the letters at all, or that the replies are simply made up by the translators or that the woman is already in a relationship with a correspondent or that the woman is writing to so many men that she does not have the time to read or write a detailed letter to a man.
I have since then, become extremely suspicious as to the authenticity of the women, especially if the reply is within a few hours after sending them a letter.I feel if I am writing via a translation service, the translator should translate fully as close as possible to the original text and not only summarize. It makes the whole idea of the effort of writing personal romantic or any letters or using the translation service, a waste of time and money.

Teo, I have to agree with you there, I have been writing to 4 different ladies and one always sends short messages back and rarely answers my questions, I've had to put a block on her because she wrote wanting to know where I was when I did'nt write for a few days, it was pointless asking her anything. but I do suspect some of the translators english is poor, some of the letters I get back are so confusing and poor, it almost seems the agency is just using a translation software that we would typically find online. One agency in zhuhai must get my praise, they are excellent and this is the reason i'm making a visit to zhuhai in the summer.

Just to be open minded! I write to my girl every day and she responds every day...at her yahoo account. I also send long well thought out letters most of the time. But I understand it takes quite an effort on her part to understand all of which i convey to her, and she does try to hit key points back on most things but very short. I know, even though she is taking English classes, if I were to receive this letter from her in Chinese...I'd be staring blankly at the page!
